Unzbin is a tiny yet very powerful Usenet nzb client. It offers the following features:

  • Multiple downloads
  • Automatic message decoding
  • Full Yenc support UUencode & base64 support
  • Automatically pauses Par’s until needed
  • Automatic file verification, repair & unpacking
  • RSS/ATOM support with regex filter
  • Full SSL support
  • Powerful scheduling

I am giving it a go now, looks really good.  Is it a good thing that easy to use applications like this are coming out now…? Probably not!

If you have alot of backed up media sitting on your computer and want to get it all organised and ready for future media center platforms > see xbmc or boxee/D-link Boxee Then you should give EMM a try….

Ember Media Manager (aka EMM or Ember) is an open source movie and TV Show collections management tool which initially has been created to use with XBMC, but it contains YAMJ specific options, moreover it should virtually support most of the other media center application out there

I have finally dumped the idea of using my Xbox 360 for a media player due to the following reasons

  • Windows Media Center sucks balls

  • My Xbox 360 Red Ringed…!

Depending on how organised you have been in the past with all your backups, this may take a decent amount of time but the automatic scrapers……..
