Ember Media Manager (aka EMM or Ember) is an open source movie and TV Show collections management tool which initially has been created to use with XBMC, but it contains YAMJ specific options, moreover it should virtually support most of the other media center application out there

I have finally dumped the idea of using my Xbox 360 for a media player due to the following reasons

  • Windows Media Center sucks balls

  • My Xbox 360 Red Ringed…!

Depending on how organised you have been in the past with all your backups, this may take a decent amount of time but the automatic scrapers……..

built into EMM can be run overnight, and then again to fix any mistakes (typically caused by bad organisation at your end).  Once you have it all setup how you like in Ember it has a vareity of tools to go through your entire collection and rename your files and folders to ensure they are setup properly for now and eternity.

If your still using your XBOX1 everyday with XBMC you should grab the latest and apparently last build of the Atlantis edition and install it – heaps better than earlier versions.
